The dispute over wages, pensions and work rules had prompted a walkout of about 20 minutes Sunday midnight in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Seattle. But workers were called back when the NMB announced agreement to postpone the deadline 24 hours. Later discussions ended the strike threat.
