Mrs. Brand leaves four sons, all prominent in local affairs. They are Superior Judge Edward R. Brand, Harry Brand, director of publicity for 20th Century-Fox studio, and Heinie and Jack Brand, businessmen. Mrs.

Brand was a widow, her husband Louis having died here several years ago. Joseph H. Larson Funeral services for Joseph H. Larson, 69, retired official of the Los Angeles Board of Education who died yesterday at his home, 2706 Budau Place, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Elysian Park L.D.S.

Hoagland, who died Thursday at La Jolla, was a colonel in the United States Army Medical Corps during the first World War. Later, at the request of President Harding, he was appointed adviser on tuberculosis problems in the Army. He leaves three sons, Henry V. and Anthony D. Hoagland of Pasadena, and Henry W.

Hoagland Jr. of Washington, D.C. William Colfax Graves William Colfax Graves, 70, former Chicago newspaperman, died yesterday at his home, 2110 E. Orange Grove Pasadena. From 1892 to 1902 Graves was a member of the Chicago Tribune, serving as night city editor.
