Jim was born in Evanston, IL where he grew up, and graduated from Evanston High School. He served in the United States Navy during the second World War. At the end of which, he returned to Evanston where he attended Northwestern University and graduated from the school of Business Administration.

Jim worked for the Weyerhauser Lumber and Packaging Company for thirty -eight years and finalized his employment as Vice President. Subsequently, he worked as a business consultant for Delta Point for several years. He was a member of the Bellevue Presbyterian Church and Overlake Country Club. Jim is survived by his wife Anne, his four children, Jennifer Burton of Lake Tahoe, CA, James of Hamilton, MA, Stephen Curtiss of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Martha Schiller of Carlsbad, CA. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.

We will all miss his inspiration, courage and sense of humor. Jim's bright mind, joyful attitude and generous heart will be remembered always. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church. His life centered around his wife and five children. He was an avid golfer, poker player, and lover of nature and classical music. He died after a long and courageous struggle with Parkinsons Disease, never complaining.

PEEL, Lorraine Neptune Society REYNOLDS, Josephus, M.D. Born on July 2, 1905, passed away peacefully and with dignity on July 26, 2001, following a long illness. After graduation from Los Angeles High School in 1922, he enrolled at UCLA as a premedical student and then entered Harvard Medical School where he as usual finished first in his class. This was followed by Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Los Angeles County General Hospital. In choosing Internal Medicine he followed his father who was one of the early specialists in that discipline in the City of Los Angeles.

Dr. Reynolds then served on the staff of Cedars of Lebanon Hospital from 1938 until his retirement. In to his brilliance in medicine as an unparalleled diagnostician he was a scholar of Greek and Latin as well as classical English literature. He was a writer and poet, and was well known for his outstanding humorous limericks. He was an old world educated man.

He was loved by all for his quick wit, warmth, gentle nature, friendship, intellect and the meticulous care of his patients. During his career he served as a Clinical Professor of Medicine for the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County General Hospital and was Chief of Staff and Chief of Medicine at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. He was an icon for every physician who met him and will be missed by all who knew him. Dr. Reynolds was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Helen Tausend, M.D.

Chris was a loving son, and brother to his family in Colorado and a highly devoted father to his six- year -old son Connor. He held a Bachelors degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona.

Chris' love of flying and aviation was so deep that when he spoke on the subject his whole face would light up. He devoted his spare time to the restoration of military aircraft at the Chino Aircraft Museum. Chris was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will also be remembered by all who knew him, for his unwavering integrity and love for his Country. Chris was deeply loved by his family and friends, and we will miss him always.
